feet, reflexology

"Reflexology is a relaxing, gentle treatment that works on your feet, but has a powerful effect on your whole body"

The theory behind Reflexology is that the body is divided into zones, which are then mapped onto the hands or feet. Each part of the foot relates to a particular part of the body. Pressure, or other manipulation techniques, on the correct reflex point of the foot can stimulate the movement of energy around the body, and promote healing in the related areas.

Reflexology can really help to alleviate stress, and it can be beneficial when you are emotionally low or in times of difficulty. A treatment can help to ease anxiety, and often give you a really good night's sleep.

Every session works on the body as a whole, as well as targeting each particular system. Just one session helps you to relax, and improves your overall wellbeing. Each treatment can also focus on problems areas, or specific conditions, including...

Headaches and migraines

Hormonal imbalances

Digestive problems - including IBS, indigestion, cramps

Back, neck and shoulder pain

Circulatory problems

Respiratory disorders - including asthma

Fertility or menstrual problems

Blocked sinuses or earache

For the best results, a course of 6 regular (weekly or fortnightly) treatments is recommended to really work on the root issues and hopefully provide some relief. After that, everyone is different, but often having a session once a month (or every two or three months) can help to manage the symptoms of long term conditions.
